Welcome to this Week's Edition of Red Things on Tuesday. I hope you heal from the things you don't talk about."I hope you heal from the things you don't talk about" is a blessing that has been making the rounds on social media lately. I've heard a lot of blessings, but this one just popped up a few months ago, and it's been everywhere. I think it's a beautiful acknowledgement and a validation that we're all working through endless amounts of grief, rage, and pain. For psychedelic people, it goes one level deeper. "I hope you heal from the things you don't even know about." One of the first things we realize in one of our first transformational journeys is how much we don't know. We realize that much of the time, we're reactionary robots being guided by unconscious, limiting beliefs and emotional disturbances. There are things we can't talk about, many of us are trying to heal from things that happened before we had language. Potty training, sleep training, food things, loud noises. It can be tough to be a little guy. And then there's stuff that just gets pushed down, or flies past the radar of our conscious mind. We're really in "Lord forgive them for they know not what they do." I must admit, I know not what I do. I know physically what I'm doing, but the cosmic impact of it is often lost on me, as are my deeper motivations. hurt people hurt people, and I'm certainly no exception. You're certainly no exception. We're certainly no exception. I hope you heal from the things you don't talk about. I hope you heal from the things that you cannot comprehend. I hope you heal from the things you cannot bear to face. I hope you heal from the things you don't have the skills to heal yet. I hope you heal in the places where you are more than you realize you are. And to be honest, I hold you in a space of spiritual perfection. Healing is required and it's not. Hope is helpful and it's not. We live in a world of paradox and duality, there is no way around it and words always fall short. I bow to the perfection that expresses itself as you. Have a lovely day. The Golden Road The Golden Road has evolved into a wonderful group of practitioners. The wonderful people who show up share not only their journeys, but the journeys of those they steward. It's become a place of learning, support, accountability, and peer review. Folks are learning some things from me, but they are also learning from each other. We all face unique challenges as we work in this space, and it's great to have a place where we can bring them for non-judgmental feedback and reflection. You're invited. Click here to join! The sensitive stuff isn't recorded; that's just for those of us in the room, but there are many teachings that are. There is a growing collection of masterclasses designed for coaches, guides, and therapists. Here are some of the upcoming live masterclasses: The wildly therapeutic potential of Salvia Divinorum with Christopher Solomon Join Somatic Salvia Guide, Christopher Solomon, for an informative and in-depth lecture about the powerful and often misunderstood plant medicine, Salvia Divinorum. Learn how he uses Salvia with his somatic therapy clients, how you can use Salvia as a pragmatic tool for healing, meditation, and exploring the deep realms of your psyche. This lecture will give you an understanding of how to work with low doses of the plant for therapeutic purposes. Some topics covered will be:
Neuro-Somatic Mindfulness and the Future of Psychedelic Integration with Fleet Maul In this conversation, Dr. Fleet Maull explores the intersection of Neuro-Somatic Mindfulness™ (NSM)—a cutting-edge, trauma-informed meditation methodology—and the evolving field of psychedelic-assisted healing. Drawing from decades of experience in mindfulness, neuroscience, and somatic psychology, Dr. Maull shares how NSM provides a powerful framework for nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and embodied awareness—key elements for integrating profound psychedelic experiences into lasting transformation. The discussion highlights how cultivating mindful embodiment before, during, and after psychedelic journeys can deepen insight, promote neuroplastic healing, and support the emergence of awakened leadership and authentic self-realization in everyday life. And more are being added all the time. at just $50/month, it's a hell of a deal ->https://tam.zone I also want to honor Donna Jean Godchaux, who passed away yesterday DisclaimerNothing in this email should be considered medical or legal advice. Welcome to this Week's Edition of Red Things on Tuesday. Tis the season to remember our ancestors, our Grateful Dead. There is a legend about some very particular hieroglyphics in the pyramids at Giza. There is a line that can be translated as, "Spaceship Earth Will Be Piloted Into The Heavens By The Grateful Dead." I can't confirm or deny its veracity, but I would guess it's a pretty liberal translation. But we are told that our ancestors guide us, that they are watching over us, cheering us...
Welcome to this Week's Edition of Red Things on Tuesday. Your Inner Child Loves The Hobbit. The 5-year-old and I read The Hobbit over the summer, and it has given us lots to think about. It's also led to one of my proudest parenting moments. We were making sandwiches for a hike, and he was spreading peanut butter onto some bread. It was a bit lumpy and patchy, and he pointed it out, saying, "It's fine." I countered, "No, dude, spread it all the way to the edges. You got this." He questioned,...
Welcome to this Week's Edition of Red Things on Tuesday. Have you met time travellers? "If time travel is a real thing, where are all the time travellers?" I've met time travelers. They're at Grateful Dead shows. (present tense!) Grateful Dead shows are timeless. Time travellers gravitate towards timeless places, I believe. Television and movies would have you believe that they flock to singular historical events, but that's only part of it. It certainly makes for better TV to have a bunch of...
