Pumpkin Spice Lemon Tek - Red Things on Tuesday

Welcome to this Week's Edition of Red Things on Tuesday.

Pumpkin Spice Lemon Tek

Ginger, Cinnamon, Clove, Nutmeg, Lemon, Mushrooms.

It's autumn. Why not?

There are plenty of people in the world who use peanut butter and jelly as their ceremonial offering. I've seen pictures of the little saints decorating slices of cheese pizza. To each their own. Spices aren't high on the list of sacrileges, I think.

We're spice people. We love the touch of a cinnamon stick. The pop of a cardamom pod. The wholesome messiness of freshly peeled ginger and turmeric.

No bright orange sugary syrup for us. We cannot comprehend the consciousness that would add artificial or even natural flavors. We don't mess with perfection. We bow to it. We savor it.

Local honey. Your friend's fair trade cacao. A splash of cider. It's all fair game.

Speaking of cider, is there better proof of the existence of God than smoking ganja and eating apple cider donuts on a crisp autumn evening?

And this, my friend, leads us to the wonder of our weekend retreat this in the Orange Autumn Woods. Cannabis. Donuts. Meditation. Coaching tools.

There are still one or two more spots. I'm packing up some altar pieces and putting the finishing touches on the manuals. I'm about to go pick up the medicine for the participants. We've decided on some solventless RS11 x Banana Cake made by my friends at Sweetgrass Botanicals. Both the dispensary, and Cassandra, its head chef, have won many awards for their products. I think it's going to pair so nicely with the experience, and everone will get their own cartridge which they can take home as a delicious tool for at home integration.

This retreat weekend offers training for individuals who wish to approach their coaching and guiding practice from a deeper, more centered place. First, our training will provide you with an opportunity to deepen your personal practice in a way that will support the way you show up for your clients and communities.

Our curriculum is based on the theory that more centered beings make better guides.

You will also be offered practices designed to explore the depths of your body, mind, and consciousness with simple clarity.

We’ll open Friday with some sound healing, exploring how our voice can be used to express and release in ways that support catharsis while maintaining a regulated nervous system. This will lead into our drum led ceremony.

On Saturday, we’ll explore the intersection of visualization and somatics as a wonderful adjunct to a journey. Continuing the theme from Friday, we’ll look at how we support a calm inner environment in through our presence and guidance. This will culminate in our Saturday evening ceremony.

Sunday, as we integrate our experience, we’ll explore how our stories can convey deep universal truths, and how taking our seat as a teacher can provide deep value to our students.

Get some of that devotional catharsis Don’t sleep on devotional catharsis. Personally, It’s my favorite kind. So much of the healing world, the psychedelic world is focused on releasing trauma. That’s all fine and good, but that’s not all there is. Sometimes in a yoga class, the breathing is just right, and the movement is just right, and trevor hall sings just the right line, and I’m overwhelmed by the beauty of creation, and then infinite love that’s surrounding and moving through me. Welcome to this Week's Edition of Red Things on Tuesday. If you think you're enlightened, go spend a week with your family. This is a famous old Ram Dass quote. He took all that acid, hung out with gurus and saints, and did as much spiritual practice as anyone could. And Thanksgiving still triggered him. Why should we be different? Who are we that this should be easy? I don't always know how to relate to my folks, we've certainly had our ups and downs. As I write this from their kitchen...

Welcome to this Week's Edition of Red Things on Tuesday. What's going on? What should I do? Integrating the two confusions. In my class "Meditation for the Journey," we dip our toes into the water of Buddhist Psychology and explore how we're tormented both inside our psychedelic experiences and out, by the three poisons: Greed, attachment, clinging, lust (Raga) Aversion, hatred, avoidance, ill-will, revulsion (Dvesha) Confusion, ignorance, misunderstanding, delusion (Moha) When discussing...
