Welcome to this Week's Edition of Red Things on Tuesday.Thank you to Our Sponsors: This week's email is sponsored by "Moonshot Moments: Ushering in the Next Human Renaissance through AI, Transhumanism, and Psychedelics" by Milan Kordestani. Moonshot Moments is a multidimensional portal into the real work of becoming human again, in an age where humanity is on the verge of transcending itself—through AI, psychedelics, knowledge management, and an odd thing called “hyper-cooperation.” It asks the question, "What if we could guide the next evolutionary leap, consciously?" Pick up your copy here. The Integration of InquiryInsight begins with inquiry. So often when people show up for coaching or to explore what a psychedelic journey might be like for them, they are a jumble of thoughts and emotions. I can definitely relate. I need to sit still for a time to know what’s actually going on with me under the surface. And to be honest, putting pen to paper doesn’t hurt either. I need time to take the lid off of my own personal Pandora’s box. I need time to peel off the brave face to see what’s underneath. I need time to orient myself so I even know where to look, and I need time to work up the courage to actually do the looking. I need time to drop the blame game. And I need time to remember to do all of this with a loving heart. Sometimes my tendency is to do all of this with a critical judgment, and that doesn’t actually produce the best results. When I take the time to do this, I’m better able to show up for my clients. My own stuff isn’t in the way. We all have a need to be heard. When I take time to meditate, I’ve given myself that gift, so now I’m better able to give to others. The needs aren’t competing. I’m able to dive into the consciousness of the client unencumbered and free! Wheee! I think about this kind of thing because it’s a topic that my students and mentees often ask about. New coaches are very concerned about doing it right, asking the right question, giving the right advice, and being maximally useful. It’s a wonderful intention, born of compassion and integrity. But it does have a shadow side. Anxiety and self-judgment start to stir. An agenda appears, and an attachment to an outcome. This is tricky, because there is no way to guarantee an outcome, not when it comes to people’s inner worlds, anyway. We can only offer our presence, perspective, and curiosity. The question of how to apply these qualities naturally arises. What does it mean to be curious in a useful, professional way? How do we present our presence? This is why the Fractal Inquiry course was developed. A slim, surgical look at the art of asking good questions. An offering of lenses through which to understand the client’s experience and mind, so that you can understand what sort of questions might be useful in raising their awareness in the present time. A collection of time-tested tools that you can practice with your clients in order to take both of you deeper into curiosity and discovery. Last time, it was a three-week class. It works reasonably well as a three-week class, but I want to expand it. I want to keep the price the same, but we need another week. Why? Because just as insight begins with inquiry, inquiry begins with self-inquiry. We need time to practice looking at ourselves before we look at others. We need to break the habit of avoiding ourselves by fixing others. We need to be willing to look closer at the subtle agendas that have insinuated themselves into our practice. The more we’re willing to be impartial and judgmental with ourselves, the more readily we can offer it to our clients. We’ll get out of our own way. So now we meet all of the Thursdays in May, May 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th at 5pm Pacific, 8pm Eastern We'll cover:
As a bonus, you'll receive:

Sitting with Discomfort as Psychedelic PreparationMeditation teacher Ty Powers discusses the practice of becoming comfortable with the uncomfortable. Recorded way back in the middle of the pandemic, it's a pretty good reminder that life (and psychedelic journeys) throws us curveballs, and that the more we learn to be ok with that, the smoother our experience will be. Our Love Is Endless How Glad I AmWow, is this good. Pale White MoonBlast From The Past The Events! The Facilitator as the Gatekeeper of Depth with Susan GunerFriday, May 16th at Noon Eastern Time - $30 or free with Golden Road This talk was made possible through an introduction from Zaira! This talk explores the facilitator’s pivotal role in medicine work—not as a neutral guide, but as an active gatekeeper of depth. Based on a hypothesis drawn from over a decade of field experience with clients navigating complex childhood trauma, it suggests that clients cannot access levels of healing beyond the consciousness of the one holding them. The facilitator unconsciously sets the threshold of what is permissible in the space, defining the limits of transformation. Healing is not just about the medicine—it’s about who’s holding the field Susan Guner is a holistic psychotherapist with a mindfulness-based approach grounded in Transpersonal Psychology, focusing on trauma-informed, community-centric processes that offer a broader understanding of human potential and well-being. She is the host of the Psychedelic Conversations Podcast, a UK-based educational platform featuring voices at the forefront of the Psychedelic Renaissance—facilitators, researchers, and change-makers driving the evolution of psychedelic consciousness work. Susan is also the founder of Reset, a trauma-informed, six-week group microdosing integration program grounded in a community-centric approach. The Way Of Liberation - March + April Monthly Theme - The Golden Road CollectiveWe've started a group offering called The Golden Road Collective. The Golden Road is a collective of psychonauts, healers, guides, and transformational change agents. We work together to create and embody the visions that have been gifted us in our ceremonies. We’re stepping into a shared future that is mindful, resilient, and committed to the versions of ourselves that we know we can be. In March and continuing into April, we'll be exploring passages from Adyashanti's "Way of Liberation" - You don't need to buy the book to enjoy our March classes, and you don't need to join our March Classes to enjoy the book. Welcome to this Week's Edition of Red Things on Tuesday. Celebrities on Drugs I avoid current events, you know this. I once heard a teaching, "Don't mind the times, mind the eternities," and I really took that to heart. Good times and bad times come and go, and of course I try to do what I can on a local level, but I don't want to get to wrapped up in news that seems to be designed to manipulate my emotions, and I sure don't think it's useful for me to pass it on to you. A subset of the news...
Welcome to this Week's Edition of Red Things on Tuesday. The Heart Can Hold It All Over time, I can see that there is less that triggers me. And there are more things that happen that I can 'breathe through,' as they say. This means that I'll be living my life, happily going about my business, and then something will happen that used to upset me very much. And through some miracle of mindfulness, I'm able to notice my jaw clench and how a part of me is ready to get so offended. I see the one...
Welcome to this Week's Edition of Red Things on Tuesday. The Integration of Contemplation This morning, I looked at my phone before meditating. It happens sometimes. And I'm glad I did. I saw a pretty profound short video. Honestly, it rocked me. Almost immediately, It reframed an issue from childhood. It was an event that seemed minor at the time. I didn't think it was a big deal, I didn't want to make it a big deal. Nearly 40 years later, it wants to be treated like a big deal. This is what...
